Dental veneers are used to correct the appearance of crooked, misaligned, damaged or discoloured teeth which may not respond to whitening treatments.

They are an attractive cosmetic solution which are commonly used on the front teeth to create a natural, white smile.

Our team at Penwortham Dental are experienced practitioners and will colour-match the veneers to your existing teeth before expertly bonding them in place and protecting your tooth underneath.

How veneers work

Dental veneers are a permanent solution and provide an alternative option to orthodontic treatment or whitening procedures.

Made from porcelain or composite materials, the veneer is bonded to a pre-prepared tooth and is custom made for each patient.

How is a veneer applied?

Your new smile will be created in just two visits. During the first, the dentist will shave a layer from your tooth’s enamel to create the ideal surface for the veneer. They will also take imprints of your teeth which will be sent to the laboratory where your colour-matched veneers are made.

At the second visit, the dentist will have the veneers ready for fixture. At Penwortham Dental, our dentists want you to love your new smile and will take the time to show you how the new veneers look before permanently bonding them to your teeth using a special adhesive.

Once fitted, you are ready to go and can enjoy your new straighter, whiter smile straight away.
